Cristine began competing in 2022 in PROMAC and NASKA adult adaptive divisions. Cristine competed successfully with a partial right sided paralysis secondary to a brain injury she suffered as a teen. She completed the 2022 season by earning the title of Adult Adaptive PROMAC National Champion. In 2023, Cristine’s coaches challenged her to step out of the adaptive divisions and transition to the mainstream Senior black belt divisions. A year later, she became the 1st hemiplegic athlete to earn a NASKA World title.
